REGINA RESORTS-VILLA VERA ISLA MUJERES

In 2001, Grupo Delmar negotiated with Regina Resorts a joint venture with Puerto Isla Mujeres. The developer is a large construction and developer group, GMD. Regina took over the management and operation of the resort and markets the lodging capability of the project as part of their time share club. Such negotiation has been succesful financially and operationally.

The legal structure designed for this venture can be applied to other stand alone projects that have not been succesful for many reasons, including the financial turmoil in Mexico in the 90´s.

Additionally the same concepts can be applied to develop new projects where the investors lack the management and marketing know how. Strategic alliances with several seasoned groups in the construction, marketing, management, sales and financial entities, clients of Grupo Delmar, can be succesfully designed after the Puerto Isla model.

These structures have been proven with the banking community in Mexico specially with large international banks doing business in the country.

Grupo ICA Sheraton Developers

Founder executives of Grupo Delmar were partners with Grupo ICA the largest construction group in Latin America. They developed the Sheraton resorts in main resort cities in Mexico in the 80´s. The condohotel Piramides del Rey in Cancun, now the Park Royal resort was developed by CodebiSA a joint venture with ICA for that kind of projects.
The structure of the project required filing with the SEC the Securitires and Exchange Commission in the USA
The legal structure designed for this venture can be applied to other projects without the SEC filing.
